Name: Duchesse De Bourgogne.
Style: Flanders Red
From: Br. Verhaeghe Vichte. Vichte, Belgium
ABV: 6.2%

Appearance: A deep reddish brown colour, a little hazy, with a medium sized, long lasting beige head and some nice lacing.
Aroma: A very nice mix of cherry, raspberry, a little bit of oak and the really fancy, thick balsamic vinegar.
Taste: Tart but not sour. Taste is much like the nose, cherry and raspberry with some raisin and oak, and a lightly sweet tasting finish of balsamic

Overall: A nice blend of flavours that are a lot closer to something grape based than grain based. I quite like it, but definitely not something I’d want more than one of in a sitting.
